Mr Mohammad Ali Jinnah was a straight forward person and used to say harsh and to the point things to Gandhi.

Followers of Gandhi once asked him, "Mr Jinnah is very outspoken and tell you whatever he likes, why don't you reply him in the same manners""

Gandhi replied " I hear from one ear and take out from another ear"

Followers of Mr Jinnah informed him about Gandhi's remarks

Mr Jinnah replied " This is only possible when in between the both ears nothing exists"

Hahahaha!! *Classic* M. A. Jinnah. Even in his law career, he would listen to the other side's argument fully, and in the end would in just a few words entirely unravel the very foundation of their argument.

Even Gandhi would have very likely been speechless at this.

Yeah ur right there is no comparison at all....no comparison between the sensible & wise Jinnah and half naked Gandhi.....between 14 points of Quide and childish points of nehru...between cruel congress rule and the wise ministry of Liaquat ali khan....likewise there is no comparison between a Muslim and a hindu....because treasure is buried (grave) and trash is burnt (watever u ppl call it)
Long Live Pakistan!!

ghandhi was a cunning fox and hindu revivalist. he played with emotions of public and gott popolarity. jinnah was a great leaders opponent said.

Surely there was temperamental differences between the two but at the same time Jinnah had a liking for Gandhi too - circumstances made them follow different line of action but never forget that Gandhi made himself an enemy to those who considered him to be soft with Muslims and Pakistan. RSS and Hindu Maha Sabha were furious when on his intervention money was released to Pakistan and finally he was shot dead by a RSS's trained fanatic, Godse.

In politics you can not survive if you behave like an innocent baby but still Gandhi was very decent to his fellow- politicians ; look Gandhi refused to become the PM of India; moreover he was a reformer not a revivalist as far as Hinduism is concerned - he stood for the Dalits and treated women with full respect.Do you know what impressed him most was simple living of Muhammad.

Both individuals deserve respect. But if we look upon the pages of history, the importance if gandhi in the indian freedom movement is negligible compared to the role of muhammad ali in the pakistani movement. There would be an india without gandhi. But there would be no pakistan without jinnah. As for what the world thinks, the world adores a dancing parrot while millions die of hunger.
